Non si dice: "I need study more."
Si dice: "I need to study more." Oppure: "I have to study more."
- I have to read a book. (Ho bisogno di/Devo leggere un libro)
- I have to get a book. (Ho bisogno di/Devo prendere un libro)
- I need a book. (Ho bisogno di un libro)
- I need to go to the library. (Devo andare in biblioteca)
"Need" and "have to" hanno lo stesso significato - indicano entrambi un'esigenza (cioè un "requirement")
"Need" è più formale di "have to."
